Estee E Dot Marie is a California raise Nigerian American with a passion for the arts. Her name Estee is French in origin meaning Star. She is gifted in various areas of visual and performance art. After obtaining her B.A. from UCLA in African American Studies with and Emphasis in Film and Television, she interned with a few independent companies. She has since worked with the likes of Kel Mitchell, Randy Lane, Dwyane Alexander Smith, Eddie Mariano, and GlassHouse Productions.
As a spoken word artist she has taken her poetry to various churches in the greater Los Angeles area, Orange County and beyond facilitating workshops and performing. She has been featured at the Flappers Comedy Club, The J-Spot, Gospel Rhythms Radio, Urban Soul Radio, Biola University, Verses LTE, Whats Up With That with Pastor Michael Fisher, etc. She has produced spoken word events and has co-hosted a spoken word Television show, "SPEAK," which aired on Time Warner Cable's Faith On Demand channel.
Through her company E Dot Expressions she produces artistic works to bring healing, awareness, and entertainment through visual and performing arts. It is her passion to be a light in a dark world - to be a voice for those who have felt silenced; and to help children and adults unlock the creative expression that is on the inside of them.
